well, this past couple of days have been ace. I'm off work due to the fact i'm having to go in at the weekend (it's shit, don't ask) so I went down to London to hang out with the lovely person known as Jayne. She lives in Muswell Hill which in itself is a KinKy place, but on Weds night we went to a pub called the Flask in Highgate. Now this may not mean much to some of you, but to saddo fans like me it's where the Kinks did a photoshoot in 1971 for an album called "Muswell Hillbillies" and it hasn't changed a bit. I shall have ti find a photograph of the band giving Ray bumps just to prove it! Either way, t'was a great night of chatting a lot of crap, staggering back to Jayne's and having Johnny Cash inflicted upon me. Urgh. ;-)

The next day I wanted to go shopping in Camden, so we did just that. I didn't find any clothing goodies, but I found lots of fabulous CDs i'm going to stick on eBay! AND....we went to Little Green Street. That may not mean much to you either, but it's where they filmed Dead End Street! Lovely Camden Council are trying to knock the houses down so that they can develop in the area, but that would be sacrilege. They survived the war, many train crashes (it's near the train track) and they are in the same style as when they were first built. There's a campaign on the internet, but it was amazing to see it in the flesh. I was VERY pathetic and had my photo taken there, then decided to recreate bits of the video...picking my nose on the doorstep on number 4 and everything! We then got the bus up to Hampstead Heath. No, we weren't trying to pick men up in the bushes (that was later...) but we went up to Kenwood House. Again, being sad geeky fans this was the last photoshoot Pete did before he left the band (everyone say awwww....) but it's also the Village Green Preservation Society photoshoot! YAY!!!!! Long grass, gorgeous hair and brown cords! :-)

All in all the perfect therapy for the hectic stuff that has been going on recently. I'm missing being in London for once in my life!

Had a lovely time with Judith on Friday night, and because I decided to go out David went out with one of his friends. We arrived back at mine, opened the door and David has invited all his mates back. I didn't mind, but Judith isn't into drinking and stuff so she wanted to go home...I tried to tell David this, but because he was pissed (and we were sober) he was being a moron. Literally. They all were, and I got annoyed and told him so. After a stupid shouting match - and I had to drag him out of the room so we didn't embarass his friends - we are now on speaking terms.

Judith puts up with some shit from Martin though. He can go out on Wednesday and she won't see him til Friday - I would NOT put up with that, so she decided she'd go home early. There was even a huge arguement about that...aren't drunk people annoying? Have now decided am not going to drink for a couple of months - well, until I meet up with friends in Liddy! ;-)

Also got in a weird slump about my weight. Am still a bit weird about it, but I need to lose some more so back to the gym I go. I think it'll do me good mentally as well, as exercie is meant to release happy hormones innit? Well, I got up nice and early this morning (8am on a Sunday! That is scandalous!) and sweated my arse off in the gym for 2 hours or so. Am going to go to their Yoga classes as well...wish me luck girlies!
